Wildflowers at Mount Robson Provincial Park
West of Jasper, just a little bit into the province of British Columbia, lies Mount Robson, the highest peak in Canada. On the day we decided to visit the weather was not ideal, the sky filled with many puffy cumulus clouds set amid the deep blue sky. That kept us from seeing the summit of the mountain. The park has a wonderful trial to the mountain; in fact, some people backpack in & overnight so that they can reach the far side of the mountain where a beautiful lake resides. Although we were not able to do any backpacking, the trail boasted splendid wild flowers, a surging stream from melting snow & glacier ice, and signs of wildlife nearby in the woods.
